Octogenarian diplomat to climb Mt. Everest-11 December
Octogenarian diplomat Mr. Shailendra Kumar Upadhyaya is going to climb Mt. Everest in coming spring 2009. He served as Foreign Minister and Ex- Ambassador to United Nations. NMA has granted him gratis permit to ascend Island peak as a part of his practice for his expedition to Everest.

Thawang & Jaljala in Tourism Industry- 23 December
Students related with Student's Organization for Resources (SORD Nepal) are going to conduct research on probability and challenges of tourism development in Thawang and Jaljala area. NMA assisted SORD Nepal of forty thousand for the research. The research is believed to useful in formulating policies for the tourism development in those areas.
