NMA won Tourism Quiz Contest-12 November
NMA stood first in the Tourism Quiz Contest organized on 12 Nov by Nepal Tourism Board to celebrate its 10th Anniversary. NMA staffers Mr. Jinesh Sindurakar and Mr. Yadav Gautam participated on behalf of NMA in the competition. Nepal Academy of Travel and Tourism Management and Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation secured second and third position respectively in the contest.

Honor of Nepalese rescue team in Spain-13 November
Mr. Miguel Sanz, President of Government of Navarra honored Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa, Managing Director of Cho-oyu Trekking Pvt Ltd including members of the rescue team with the prestigious award, Gold Medal for Sports Merit of Navarra amidst a special function organized in Spain. They were awarded for their courageous attempt to save well-known Spanish mountaineer Inaki Ochoa de Olza Seguin on the 8091-metre Annapurna I last May. Late Olza Seguin was a well respected and popular mountaineer who had climbed 11 of the world's 8,000-metre peak.

New convener for taskforce- 30 November
Mr. Surendra Prasad Sapkota- Under Secretary, Tourism Industry Division, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has been appointed as convener of NMA taskforce effective from 30 Nov. Earlier, the post was held by Mr. Krishna Prasad Gnawali.
