Nepal Mountaineering Association in coordination with Park Young Seok Foundation and Korean Alpine Foundation organized Park Young-Seok Climbing Competition to promote sport climbing activities in Nepal since 2013. The competition was the second edition of the competition 2nd Park Young Seok Climbing Competition- Lead 2014 on 7 and 8 November 2014 at Nepal Himalayan Adventure Tour and Training Center, Balaju Industrial Area Park Young Seok Climbing Competition program is organized in memory of Park Young Seok (A South Korean mountaineer, who completed a True Explorers Grand Slam). He has climbed the world's 14 Eight-thousanders, the Seven Summits, and visited both poles. He holds the world's second fastest time for ascending the 14 Eight-thousanders, the Guinness World Record for climbing six of the 8,000-meter Himalayan peaks within one year, and another record for reaching the South Pole on foot in 44 days, self-sufficient and without any food re-supplies.
Mr Mohan Krishna Sapkota, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation, Inn Jeoung Lee, President-UAAA, Christine Pae- General Secretary-UAAA, and Korean Alpine Foundation's personalities were the chief guest of the final program of Saturday. In the competition program, there were 17 male participants and 7 female participants and result of the program is as follows.
