NMA bids a heartfelt farewell to Stremfelj couple for their yet another endeavor

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) bade a farewell to renowned Guinness World Record-holding couple, Mr. Andrej Stremfelj and Ms. Marija Stremfelj, as they embark on yet another thrilling adventure.

The Stremfelj couple is gearing up for an exciting journey, the Great Himalayan Trek, commencing this Wednesday. This trek is the longest and most challenging in Nepal.

President Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa, representing NMA, offered a NMA "Khada'' as a symbol of well-wishing to the Stremfelj couple. Alongside, NMA Secretary Mr. Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Secretariat Member Mr. Rajendra Bahadur Lama, Central Executive Board Member Mr. Diwas Pokhrel, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Kul Prasad Rai, and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Mr. Jinesh Sindurakar extended their heartfelt best wishes to Mr. Andrej and Ms. Marija for their forthcoming endeavors.

The Stremfelj couple also holds the distinction of being the first husband and wife duo to successfully conquer Mount Everest together. Their epic journey will commence on September 13th, 2023, starting from the Kanchenjunga base camp and will conclude on 1st January 2024.

They will be accompanied by two experienced guides and other helpers during the trek.
