NMA to Feature Iurii's Photos in Temporary Display at IMM Pokhara

The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has decided to exhibit the photos of Russian veteran climber Mr. Iurii Rodichev temporarily at the International Mountain Museum (IMM) in Pokhara.

During a courtesy meeting with Iurii and his team today, the NMA agreed to the idea of showcasing his photos temporarily at the IMM. Mr. Iurii shared with NMA officials that he has captured breathtaking images of Nepal’s mountains since 1984.

The NMA has also promised to support his plan to publish a book containing images and details of Nepal’s mountains above 8000 meters and others.

“This will be an important asset for us. The NMA respects Mr. Iurii and his contributions to Nepal’s mountains,” said NMA President Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa. “The NMA will exhibit his photos temporarily at the IMM later.”

Mr. Iurii and his team were warmly greeted at the NMA Secretariat in Nagpokhari, Naxal, with the NMA president welcoming them with NMA khada.

Senior Vice President Mr. Thakur Raj Pandey, 1st Vice President Mr. Ang Dawa Sherpa, Acting General Secretary Mr. Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Central Secretariat Member Mr. Rajendra Bahadur Lama, and Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Jinesh Sindurakar were also present on the occasion.
